BN1 Arts Level 3 Subsidiary and Extended Diplomas in the Creative Music Industry are full-time Vocational Qualifications. They are fully funded for students aged 16-18 years old, and taught in our specialist studios in Central Brighton.
Ron, a globally recognized DJ and producer with credits that include P Diddy, Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, 50 Cent, and Snoop Dogg, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to BN1 Arts as a new Patron. With long-term record deals under his belt and collaborations with musicians such as Paul Weller and Bootsy Collins, Ron's insight into the music, dance and the Hip Hop scene and culture is invaluable to our students. Ron is excited to be a mentor to our students and provide work placements to prepare them for a successful career in the entertainment industry. He believes that BN1 Arts will be the go-to college for young people who aspire to join the entertainment industry and is proud to be a Patron.
The BN1 Arts Extended Diploma in The Creative Music Industry is a two-year vocational course designed to develop aspirant music professionals by focusing on the vocational skills required for a successful career in the music industry, and the academic skills required for success in further training.

BN1 Arts has dedicated student support team and SEND team.
Our Student Support team is available for one-to-one tutorial sessions to discuss anything you may be struggling with. These can include any topic, ranging from personal issues to attendance-related queries.
The student services team can be accessed by students throughout the college day and we encourage you to see us at any time, for additional support as and when needed.
We are available to help if you are struggling with your coursework or if you have told us about a
special educational need you may have. As well as being able to help with your academic work, our learning support tutors are active in the creative industries, working in live performance, TV, Radio, songwriting and studio and live engineering. We are here to help, you are always welcome to pop into the student support office and have a chat. If you hold an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP), please share this with our student support team and we will be in touch to arrange a meeting to work together and formulate a support plan.
At BN1 we are proud to have some of the creative industry’s most experienced and talented practitioners and lecturers. Our delivery team have worked with everybody from The Rolling Stones at Wembley, via the studio with M1 on the Beat (Drake), through to Hamilton in London’s West End.
Our current industry experienced lecturers design and deliver our curriculum, not just connecting you with the creative industry, but ensuring the creative industry is in our building.
The Extended Diploma is run at our dedicated building in central Brighton and specialist studios nearby. Here, you’ll find large studios with sprung flooring, full-length mirrors and sound systems, fully equipped rehearsal and music rooms, a drama studio, a studio theatre, an IT suite and a recording studio. .
These all create a professional environment where students can learn their craft to the best of their ability.

After your audition, we will then make you an offer of a place or suggest how you can develop your skills further to meet the required standard. Please try not to leave your application to the last minute as courses do fill up very quickly and we’d hate for you to be disappointed.
